    The Austin Bluffs is a tall ridge line summit that stands at 6,673 feet. Although it is a part of the Austin Bluffs Open Space, it is in a residential area. Austin Bluffs has been inhabited for thousands of years, first by the indigenous people then by later settlers. It was also the site of a tuberculosis sanatorium in the 19th century. The University of Colorado Colorado Springs is just below the bluffs, and you get fantastic view over campus, the entire city, and of Pikes Peak.
