You shouldn't pass this church: the ceiling fresco is absolutely impressive! The work of art by Cosmas Damian Asams fills the entire ceiling of the nave and, with its 490 square meters, is the largest flat ceiling fresco in the world. But not only the size of the picture is impressive, the mixing of perspectives leaves you amazed. Take some time and change your point of view several times - this is the only way you can actually grasp the uniqueness of the fresco.

The Asamkirche is a Catholic church in Ingolstadt in the baroque style, which was designed by the brothers Cosmas Damian and Egid Quirin Asam during the peak of their creative period.
The Asam brothers laid the foundation for their fame with the construction and decoration of the Weltenburg monastery church

Baroque piece of jewelry from the prime of the Asam brothers. (Built 1732-1736). At the moment (June 2020) the church is closed because parts of the plaster have come off.
