The Catholic Church of St. Thomas of Canterbury is a beautiful parish church built in the Gothic Revival style between 1874 and 1875. The church is located on the corner of Burgate and Canterbury Lane, opposite the famous Canterbury Cathedral. It is the only Roman Catholic church in Canterbury and contains the relics of Thomas Becket. The church was built on the site of a medieval chapel, of which the tower has been preserved. The interior of the church is richly decorated, including an impressive rose window above the altar and a baptismal font dating from 1865.
