If you want to do sports in the North Sea, you can rent surfing equipment here or take a surfing course. Afterwards there is the opportunity to warm up again in one of the barrel saunas.

Unfortunately, the iconic building was demolished during my visit to Jammerbugt in autumn 2024. I'm curious to see what will be built in its place as a new home for surfers near the beach entrance, especially since the old fish market was also slated for demolition.

Checking this out is definitely a reason to add another visit to Vendsyssel to my list since 1978...

@Fabia has already described the changes at the end of Sønder Strandvej leading to the harbor. After my visit in week 2 of 2026, I immediately added highlights with new pictures so that @Kiki's highlight remains a nice memory:
