The Muttler Kopf (2366 meters) is an easily accessible summit from the Kemptener Hütte. First follow the signs in the direction of Mädlejoch or Krottenkopf. After the Mädlejoch there is another signpost in the direction of Krottenkopf. There, a path branches off to the left. Following this you can reach the summit via several serpentine paths. A few hairpin bends in front of the summit can already be seen at the summit cross.

A day hike from the Kemptner Hut, it's a fantastic summit experience for families with fit and cautious preschoolers. It took us 3 hours up and 3 hours down.

Because the first stage of the E5 crossing of the Alps is relatively easy, I would recommend climbing the Mutterkopf shortly before going to bed. As a reward - countless marmots and a wonderful mountain panorama.
