The nave and the choir are late Romanesque. The tower and the sacristy are late Gothic and the sacristy from the Renaissance. The ceiling in the nave shows paintings from the 1700s, while the choir ceiling is decorated with a black sky rose by the artist Mogens Jørgensen from 1962. The sky of the baptismal font is decorated with a skull to remind the newly baptized of the transience of life - remember, you must die.

Rejsby Kirke is a historic church in the village of Rejsby, about 10 kilometers south of Ribe in Denmark. The church was founded around 1175 near a ford on the important trade route between Ribe and Tønder. Its distinctive octagonal tower dates from about 1500 and was inspired by the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Rejsby Kirke has a light and inviting appearance with doors from 1767 and a wooden ceiling from 1798. The pulpit features reliefs and dates from 1612.
