The Georgian market town of Lymington is famous for its sailing history and there are two large marinas filled with fishing boats and yachts. The town’s narrow streets are lined with pretty period cottages, as well as plenty of local cafes, restaurants and pubs. The High Street has several independent shops and designer boutiques, as well as a local market held each Saturday which dates back to the 13th century.

The heart of Lymington is Quay Street, a cobbled lane where you'll find plenty of cafes, pubs, and shops to explore. You'll have to dismount and walk for this short pedestrianised section, but it's worth it to experience the unique character of this maritime village.

There are loos here with bike racks. Also a bike rack outside Rolys Fudge shop. Great coffee at Coffee and Drift and its always worth a wander up the cobbles to the wide selection of shops, pubs and cafes
