Krina's first written mention was in 1530.
But already in 1642 the village burned down. In 1816 Krina was assigned to Prussia.

A memorial stone in Krina shows the place as the center of the German Reich from 1871-1918.

The center of the German Empire was in Krina. And this was not because people loyal to the emperor had their home here or because the monarch moved at least some of his business to the heath. The emperor was never here. But in 1913 a mathematician did a lot of calculations and came to the conclusion that Krina was the center of the empire founded in 1871. A large field stone is now located at the location that was identified almost 100 years ago, and a golden plaque indicates the special nature of the location.
