The boards testify to the heavy work in the stone bridges. Apart from the view to the quarry, there is still the demolition room to see.

The view is very nice but unfortunately (for security reasons) slightly obscured by a fence. Nearby there are some benches and tables for a picnic.

The history of the quarry operations in Dossenheim goes back to the year 1760. With the increasing demand for suitable road construction material, the mining of the Dossenheim deposits became economically interesting. The two large fractures on the Sporenberg and on the Hohen Nistler have shaped the appearance of the community.
