The Coteaux de la Seine national nature reserve covers 268 hectares in the municipalities of Vétheuil, Haute-Isle, La Roche-Guyon, Gommecourt and Bennecourt. These hillsides form one of the most remarkable sites of the French Vexin Regional Natural Park, presenting themselves as a vast natural amphitheater with steep reliefs and luminous steep slopes. Known for its striking landscape, a set of the most important limestone lawns in the Paris basin, with its chalky cliffs and pinnacles on the banks of the river, the Coteaux de la Seine site is of major ecological floristic and faunal interest (source: http:// pnr-vexin-francais.fr)
