The St. Johannes Hospital Church was created together with the St. Johannis Baptistae Citizens Hospital, founded in 1338. The simple exterior does not suggest that the church contains many a gem. In addition to the pretty early Rococo decor, two sculptures stand out in particular: a Madonna with the baby Jesus and a bishop. Both figures are said to be works by the Riemenschneider student Augustin Reuss, who was born in Iphofen.
