Yürüyüş

Juniper heaths grow on dry, nutrient-poor, and often steep slopes far from settlements, where grazing was rarely possible. They developed over the last few centuries through sheep, goat, or cattle grazing. The grazing by the sheep, goats, and cattle kept all the palatable plants short. Thorny plants like juniper, silver thistle, pasqueflower, or poisonous swallowwort were left alone by the sheep.
