The Kleiner Kornigl, or simply Kornigl, is a 2,311-meter-high mountain in the Ilmen Ridge of the Ortler Alps. Its name is a Germanicization of the Latin cornu with the diminutive suffix -iculu, meaning "little horn."

Sturdy footwear and a head for heights are essential; otherwise, any experienced hiker can attempt the climb (be careful: rockfall from careless hikers is possible).

In the past, the little Kornigl, although lower, was the big one and the Spitzner was the little one. The residents of Proveis were to blame for this, as the little ones look bigger than the big ones from there. Since the confusion was understandably large, the taller little ones are now called the Spitzner Kornigl and the lower tall ones, as it should be, the little ones Kornigl. hikr.org/tour/post16373.html
