Interesting, frightening and incomprehensible that the water can rise so high here and with what force it rushed through here. The highest water level is on February 29th, 1784!

Frightening when you see how high the water of the Danube was here. When you stand in front of it, you can't even imagine it.

Every time a flood occurs, it is a disaster for those affected, but if you look at the markings, there were also several other water levels. Of course, it varies depending on the course of the rivers, as to how the levels add up or not due to the inflows.
A good portion is simply media hype.
Of course, things look different from the perspective of people from Passau or Deggendorf.
I hope they will now receive a lot of help from the state, after their fellow citizens have already helped as best they can.
