The mills date back to the century. twelfth; they were built by the bishops of Concordia and belonged to them until 1867. Even today, in fact, the coats of arms of the bishops can be seen on the facades. In the fifteenth century. they had ten wheels, a testimony to the intense activity they carried out. On the opposite side of the entrances from the islet, you can still see the gates that overlook the Lemene river, once used for loading and unloading grain; this was done using a wooden jetty that has now disappeared.
