Instead of the classic and well-known wayside cross, in some places there is a small wayside shrine made of wood or stone, which usually contains the figure of a saint. In this case, a Marian wayside shrine in the village of Scheidbaum, it is a statue of the Blessed Mother, the Child Jesus seems to be standing on her hands and has spread his arms in blessing.

The idea for the image and the design of the stele came from Hans Georg Winkelmann. The overall design of the column is like a round tower.
With the image of Mary, this is a symbol of the invocation from the Lauritanian Litany: "You mighty tower of David, pray for us."
