It was either daydreaming or megalomania that drove the Polish artist Piotr Kazimierczak to build this castle. He became wealthy as a seller and restorer of church furniture. The castle was to have 365 windows, 52 rooms, and twelve towers. Construction began in 1984, but after seven years it was halted because he only had a building permit for a building one-sixth the size, and apparently, the money also ran out.

This seems to be semi-legal. There's a paid parking lot a few hundred meters away, the gate is wide open, and there are no conspicuous prohibition signs.
