The monastery town of Rehna in the heart of northwest Mecklenburg is located on the Radegast river, picturesquely embedded in a gentle, hilly landscape. With its half-timbered houses, the artesian wells and the former monastery complex in the center, the city tells its story at first glance. Founded in the course of Christianization, the place is inextricably linked with the monastery. The well-preserved monastery complex from the 13th century with a monastery garden laid out according to historical models and a Kneipp basin form the center of Rehna.
