The town hall of Kolberg was built between 1829 and 1832 by Ernst Friedrich Zwinger (the master builder of Cologne Cathedral). With its pointed arched windows and small corner towers, the building is somewhat reminiscent of the medieval town hall that was destroyed in 1807. The red brick building in neo-Gothic style even reminds some visitors of a medieval castle. Today, however, no knights sit here, but the city council, the registry office, the Kolberg cultural center and the art gallery.

Built in the years 1829–1832 in the neo-Gothic style according to the design of Karol Fryderyk Schinkel on the site of the medieval town hall, which was destroyed in 1807 during the siege of the city. Slightly rebuilt in 1913.

In 1945, during the Battle of Kołobrzeg, despite the bombing of the city center, it was not destroyed. After World War II, the building housed various institutions. Currently, it is the seat of the Contemporary Art Gallery, Tourist Information and the Registry Office.
