Cristo de la Vera Cruztiva hermitage in this town must have been built prior to the 16th century, then being located outside the walls of the town, under the dedication of Santo Cristo de la Caja, and it was, over the centuries, undergoing different reforms up to its current appearance. Of the original hermitage, practically only the rectangular shape of its main nave remains.
