The outdoor area of the cafe is located at the foot of the Obertor. From here you have a beautiful view of the old town of Gengenbach.

The city was formerly accessible through three gates, the streets of which meet in the middle in the market square.
The Obertor, also called Haigeracher Tor, essentially dates back to the 13th century and its current appearance dates back to the 16th century. It closes off the old town to the north.
