It is a protected cultural monument.
In 1906, a new spring was drilled on the grounds of Bad Homburg's spa gardens.
Construction of the fountain building was delayed until 1910.
One of the reasons was that Kaiser Wilhelm II personally participated in the construction of the fountain. He personally signed a sketch of the fountain, named after his wife, Augusta Viktoria of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg, dated April 15, 1910.
The Kaiser inspected the finished work on May 11, 1911, and was pleased.

The Auguste Viktoria fountain is in the Bad Homburg spa gardens. It is located on Brunnenallee east of the Brunnensälchen. If you have gastrointestinal problems, you can use the healing spring for a drinking treatment or simply listen to the water.
