In the 15th century, St. Mark's Cathedral was built in Gothic and Renaissance style by Italian and local artists. In the church are beautiful paintings and modern sculptures like the Pieta. The bell tower towers high over the city with a magnificent dome.

At the highest point of the old town is the cathedral Sveti Marko, whose bell tower dominates the whole old town. The (somewhat adventurous) ascent to the bell tower is an absolute must and is rewarded with a great 360 ° panorama. Cost in 2019 about 30 kuna.
