The captured Mörfeld Waldborn spring supplied Mörfelden and the Mönchbruch hunting lodge with drinking water well into the 19th century. Here you can see the elaborately restored well and chamber. A beautiful roof with shingles and half-timbering spans the complex. Rest benches are also available.

Until the 19th century, the Waldborn spring supplied Mörfelden and the Mönchbruch hunting lodge with drinking water via wooden and clay pipes. It was filled in in 1918 and rebuilt in 1978 according to old templates and plans. The fields through which the path to the Waldborn spring leads are still used for agriculture today and crops are grown in rotation. The fields are separated from each other by groups of trees and hedges. Also worth mentioning is the stork's perch, which is located about 600 m south of the spring and is occupied by storks every year.
