On the edge of Bad Saarow at the end of the 19th century large clay pits were dug. Meanwhile, the pits have been renatured long ago and you can explore the exciting landscape on a hiking trail. Sometimes the path snakes through a narrow valley, sometimes standing on the edge, high above a deep pit.
