Yürüyüş

The Châtelot dam, 74 meters high, was built in 1953. The use of the valley and the rock gives it a spectacular character. It's a fantastic place to see, especially when the water is flowing over the dam!

Yürüyüş

Following the introduction of electricity in the canton of Neuchâtel at the end of the 19th century, the mills along the Doubs gradually stopped operating. At the same time, the need for electrical energy and the expansion of the network increased. The dam here was put into operation in 1953 and used by both Switzerland and France.
In 2005, the turbine for generating electricity was modernized.
