Directly to the left of the Red House there is a glockenspiel on the house facade. Every hour on the hour, its 14 bells play the melody of a piece of music that changes according to the season. You can choose, for example, the "Mosellied" by the Trier cathedral organist Georg Schmitt, the "Moselgruß" by the Trier composer Karl Werding.

Old town hall with echoes of Steipen The "old" town hall and department store on the corner of Fleischstraße had an open ground floor with a department store. The "new" town hall stood further east on the corner of the Kornmarkt. Between the two there was another ornamental planting. This northern side of the square was destroyed in the war and later modernized.
