Val de Saire: The name of the Saire applies not only to the valley of the Saire itself, but to the entire northeast of the peninsula. the Val is an attractive region due to the dense forests and the lively towns of Saint-Vaast and Barfleur. Thanks to the mild climate, the cattle can stay outside nine months out of twelve and the coastal strip even produces scoops.

The small river Saire has its source at Le Mesnil-au-Val and after 31 km it flows into the English Channel at Reville. The Eurovelo 4 cycle path accompanies the Saire for almost its entire length. From the lock bridge over the Saire you have a beautiful panorama of the estuary, depending on the light and sun, the water appears wonderfully turquoise green.
