Prepare for significant elevation changes on this challenging loop. The initial 18 kilometres between Vieste and Mattinata involve a constant climb, gaining 700 metres. While much of the route is well-paved, be aware that some segments, especially on downhill sections, might have damaged or unpaved asphalt.
