Here you will find boutiques, trendy bars, kosher restaurants, bakeries and butchers and what are said to be the best falafels in town, which we tasted at the King Falafel Palace.

Once a "secret tip" where you could (and still can!) enjoy authentic kosher cuisine, gentrification has now struck here too.

"Over the past 40 years, the neighborhood has experienced gentrification, which has recently accelerated rapidly. In the past five years, the many Jewish bakeries, delicatessens, Judaica shops and kosher butchers that once lined this medieval street have disappeared, replaced by chic new luxury stores that provoke comments like "the only Jewish thing about Rue des Rosiers is that the boutiques are open on Sundays."
