The watermill at the large pond dates from the 13th century and, by the way, never freezes over because it is fed by countless warm springs. Today the old mill houses the Soest Tourist Information Office.

Every year in June, three «culprits» are pushed into the water by a seesaw on the shores of the Great Pond. In the past, delinquents were punished and carried into the water. Today there is a waiting list and the selected, local sizes jump voluntarily. A summer spectacle accompanied by thousands of spectators.
