Kitzbühel Town Hall from 1531
Kitzbühel was granted town rights by Ludwig II in 1271.
The building dates from 1531 and was converted into a town hall in 1548. The "Neutor" (now called "Kirchberger Tor") was built around 1840. The current building was built in 1954/55. Near the entrance there is a relief (by Franz Roilo) in memory of the ski pioneer and mayor Franz Reisch, who founded the winter sports resort of Kitzbühel in 1892/93.

Kitzbühel received city rights in 1271 from Ludwig II. The building, which was converted into the town hall in 1548, has been standing since 1531. The so-called "Neutor" (today called "Kirchberger Tor") was built around 1840. The current building was erected in 1954/55. Next to the entrance, a relief commemorates the ski pioneer and mayor Franz Reisch (by sculptor Franz Roilo), who founded winter sports in Kitzbühel in 1892/93.

The town hall is also the gateway to the city center which is also known as the Kirchberger Tor. Then there is also the Jochberger Tor if you drive over the tennis stadium. 👍
