The half-mile post bears the year 1722 and the inscriptions "Oedran 1/2 St." and "Chemnitz 5 1/8 St.", as well as the row number 22. It is made of Hilbersdorf porphyry tuff and once stood in front of Oederan, on the right side of the road coming from Freiberg. The post shaft served for several decades as a stone bench at the Schützenhaus (shooting club) on Freiberger Straße in Oederan.

Dağ bisikleti

"A Saxon post mile column, colloquially known as a Saxon post mile column or just a post pillar, is a milestone that indicates distances and walking times to within an eighth of an hour. The design of the stones varies depending on the distance for which they stand." - de.wikipedia.org/wiki/course%C3%A4chsische_Postmeilens%C3%A4ule
This is a half-mile column.
Inscription: Oederan 1/2St. Chemnitz 5 1/8 St. 1722, which suggests that the column must have originally stood in a place about 2 km before Oederan from Chemnitz.
