Embark on the Alpe Piazza Loop Trail, an easy hike that guides you through the beautiful Parco delle Orobie Valtellinesi. You will follow well-marked mule tracks and dirt roads, winding through a forest of beech and Scots pine. The route covers 3.1 miles (4.9 km) with a gentle elevation gain of 918 feet (280 metres), making it suitable for most fitness levels. As you hike, you will pass through picturesque alpine pastures like Scoccia and Corte Grande, where traditional mountain buildings add to the charm. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 43 minutes, culminating in splendid panoramic views of the Orobic mountain range and, on clear days, even Lake Como.
You can access the Alpe Piazza Loop Trail year-round, offering different experiences depending on the season.
