The Grimmershörnbucht with its crescent-shaped arch from the ferry port to the Kugelbake is perhaps the geographically most distinctive place in Cuxhaven. Beautiful.

The so-called Cuxhaven Green Beach (Grünstrand) features pleasant restaurants and a beautiful view of the water. Unfortunately, bikes have to be pushed on the section along the dike or the diketop path (although almost no one does this), but behind the dike there's a well-developed asphalt road that's an alternative. Only the turnoff before the Heligoland ferry road at the Seeterrassen restaurant is yet another piece of urban planning nonsense, with rocks in the path that need to be avoided on a sharp bend.
