The headwaters of the Ternellbach stream, which is not accessible, are located south-east of the Ternell Nature Park Centre.
The headwaters of the Hill, also known as the Black River, are near Baraque Michel, in the Walloon Fens. The Hill was formerly a border river between Prussia and Belgium. In the upper area there are historical boundary stones at regular intervals. These P/B boundary stones are not to be found in the hill valley, where the stream has grown to an impressive size and could therefore also be clearly defined as a border river.

Great and unspoilt paths to "slow down" - immediately after you set off into the forest at the Haus Ternell nature center, the silence of the High Fens takes you in. Far away from any noise of civilization, you can enjoy the varied landscape and be much more aware of the ambient noises such as the cheerful babbling of the streams and the light wind in the trees. 👌
