The salt dump of the potash works in Neuhof-Ellers, which is typical for Neuhof, can be seen from afar with its current height of around 500 m above sea level. The view from the cycle path between Flieden and Neuhof is particularly interesting, as the above-ground facilities of the potash plant can also be clearly seen. In the distance you can see the striking Monte Kali towering up. This is a large salt heap of potash mining. Kaliberge typically consists largely of common salt, which is a waste product during production. There are a total of eight Monte Kalis in Germany.
