Lagoa do Caldeirão, located at the top of the island of Corvo, Azores, is an impressive volcanic crater, formed by two lagoons. Lagoa do Caldeirão is subject to a natural erosion process, caused mainly by the action of water and wind. This phenomenon, common in geological formations of this type, gradually contributes to changes in the landscape, but does not compromise the stability of the volcanic structure.
