"In the middle of the Colomanniberg near Velburg you can see three man-sized rocks standing next to each other, called the three stone maidens. A half-torn sheet in the city archives on the town hall in Velburg reports: The three daughters of a knight from Velburg were led away by some fugitives. The father, as he watched the robbery from afar, escaped and flew over the maids so that the women were turned into stones and had to stay."
