According to Wikipedia: Apollonia was founded in 588 BC by Greek settlers and later fell under Roman rule. In the 16th century, a monastery was built on the site, where important works of art can still be seen today.

Without a map and optimally Google Maps in satellite mode, it is difficult to find all the ruins. But the museum and the church with the frescoes are worthwhile. And if you're lucky, you might see turtles between the Roman temple ruins.
