The Jeker is a 54 km long river in Belgium (50 km) and the Netherlands (4 km). It rises in Lens-Saint-Servais in the municipality of Geer
Although the Jeker is a small river, it has a major impact on the Limburg landscape. This small river crosses the green valley with its hills and picturesque villages; it cuts a path from the Belgian border until it meets the Meuse in Maastricht. Not only does the bishop's mill owe its existence to the Jeker, the vineyards in the Jeker valley are also watered by this modest river.
