The Fühlinger See consists of a total of five connected, winding lakes and a 2.3 km long regatta course. In addition to rowers, canoeists, SUP paddlers, divers and bathers also cavort here. The bridle paths around the site as well as hiking and cycling routes and the climbing park next to the swimming pool make the area in the north of Cologne a versatile local recreation area.

The local recreation area Fühlinger See was created after 1967 through the recultivation of several gravel pits, which provided building material for the creation of the Chorweiler district. The area consists of 7 interconnected lakes and the 2.3 km long regatta course. The area includes 19 km of natural cycling and hiking trails, 7 km of bridle paths, a natural outdoor pool and around 84 hectares of recreational space 🏖.
