The award-winning exhibition presents the history of witch hunts in 17th century Iceland, as well as various aspects of magic from more recent sources. We learn more about the people involved, who they were, what they were accused of and what their punishment was.

The Museum of Icelandic Witchcraft and Wizardry is dedicated to the study of Icelandic witch-hunting, folklore and Standir heritage. It is a non-profit organisation. In the exhibition, for example, a nábrók is on display. These are trousers made from the skin of a dead person. According to Icelandic witchcraft, this could produce an endless supply of money. In summer, the museum is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
