Piazza San Rufo or San Ruffo is a square in the center of Rieti. An ancient tradition, of at least Renaissance origin, has it that the center of Italy is located in this square, on the basis of the classics of Latin literature which placed the Umbilicus Italiae in the area of Rieti.
