The avenue to the palace terraces leads right through the Bad Alexandersbad spa gardens. The hiker goes straight towards the castle and can walk through the building onto the terraces to the modern fountain.

Actually, the building known as Alexandersbad Castle is not a real castle at all, because it was not built as the residence of a noble potentate, but as a bathhouse, a hotel of sorts to accommodate spa guests.
