The Basilica of San Siro, one of the oldest churches in Genoa, Liguria, is a Catholic place of worship located in the street of the same name in the Maddalena district. Built according to tradition in the 4th century, it was originally dedicated to the twelve apostles; it was the burial place of the holy bishop Siro and it became the first cathedral of Genoa. The parish is part of the "Central West" vicariate of the Archdiocese of Genoa. The very rich interior decoration is among the most representative of the Genoese Baroque.
