WW1 Death Wire Memorial is a reconstruction of the Death Wire setup including watchtower. Information boards provide information about life with and around the Death Wire. Picnic area offers opportunity to relax. There is also a culvert under the road at this location. You can use this at your own risk. Quite an adventurous challenge. Know that you need appropriate, waterproof footwear.

The death wire was an electrical barrier on the border between Belgium and the Netherlands during World War I. Was erected from the Zwin in Knokke to the suburbs of Aachen, 450 kilometers long.
