Former opencast mine Hannoversche Treue.
The Hannoversche Treue opencast mine was opened to a small extent in 1917 by the Ilseder Hütte. The production was initially 200-250 tons / day and was interrupted by long downtimes. In 1924, the Ilseder Hütte employed 48 people in the opencast mine who extracted 44,289 tons of ore there. In 1925, the workforce increased to 127, and ore extraction to 101,718 tons. Before the closure in 1930, 12 people were employed, the production this year was only 1260 tons.
Today the lake is used as a fishing area for the "Club Gebhardshagener Fischer".
