It's not pretty. But waiting times can be spent comfortably in the side hall, sitting in armchairs with coffee and cake while reading the newspaper. My favorite is the Coucou.
At the west exit of the southern underpass is the public railway canteen, called the Casino. Here, you can eat good and inexpensive lunch.
A ramp leads up here. On the other side, there are attendants at the stairs.

Bike friendly looks different to me. The elevators from the platforms to the Stadtbahn bridge are so small that it is forbidden to take your bike there.

If you want to get on (or off) a train on tracks 2-7 with your normal bike weighing around 15-16 kg and around 10 kg of panniers, you have to carry your bike and panniers onto the platform. There are only stairs, no ramps and no elevators. This is simply catastrophic for one of the supposedly “most bike-friendly cities in Germany”
