Small island in Lieps Lake…..highly recommended to take a look at it
Because the island is doomed to death because the cormorants' droppings destroy all vegetation... and so the ground no longer has any support

The island shapes the landscape and is a testament to early settlement: the island of Kietzwerder in the Lieps. The island has been populated with cormorants for years. The trees are bare even in summer, the large black birds make sure of this with their droppings. But very interesting for the inexperienced observer.
